Potato Pie

Thanks to my mother in law for this recipe :)

Total Time: 35 - 45 minutes
Prep. Time: 7 - 10 minutes
Cook. Time: 25 - 35 minutes
For the cake we will need:

3 potatoes, a cup of yogurt (200gr.), 1.5 glasses (300 ml) of olive or sunflower oil, 5 spoons of flour, 3 eggs, 100-150 g. of white cheese, salt, black pepper, red hot milled pepper, paprika (if you like), 1/3 teaspoon of baking powder.

Preparation:

Mix eggs, add a little bit salt, add the yogurt and stir well.

Add peppers and baking powder. Stir.

Add the oil. Stir.

Add flour and whisk.

Crush the cheese with a fork, add the cheese in the dough. Mix together.

Cut potatoes into squares (or rectangles) 5 mm thick. Pieces should not be thick, since it does not have time to get cooked. You can grate the potatoes if you like that more.

Put sliced potatoes in oven tray (size of my tray - 30 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm height), lay potatoes in the bottom of the tray.

Try the dough, if there's enough salt and pour the dough mixture on potatoes. Flatten with a spoon, wait 5 minutes and place in a preheated 180 degree oven for 25 - 35 minutes depending on the thickness of your cake and features of your oven. I cooked this cake for 35 minutes.

To test the readiness of the cake - pierce the cake with a toothpick, if toothpick clean - pie is almost ready. Hold for another 5 minutes in the oven and remove :)

Bon appetit!
