For 4 persons we will need:
1 pack of spaghetti (or any pasta)
For the sauce:
250-300 gr of lean ground beef
5 tablespoons of olive oil
1 medium onion
3-4 cloves garlic
1 medium carrot
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 teaspoons hot pepper paste
1 red bell pepper
2 teaspoons salt, ground black pepper
4 teaspoons dried basil
1 bunch of parsley
Preparation:
In a large pan pour water and 1 tablespoon of salt (or to taste)
After the water boils on moderate heat, carefully place spaghetti in the water without breaking. Cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring from time to time.
Until water for pasta boils, we can prepare the sauce:
Put in a medium size pot minced meat, finely chopped onion and olive oil.
After 7-8 minutes roasting over moderate heat, stirring with a wooden spoon, add the chopped garlic (about the size of rice) and grated carrot.
Cut red bell pepper into rings and add to the sauce. Fry for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add salt, black pepper, tomato and pepper paste.
You can add 1 glass of white wine, if you like. Instead of wine, you can also use 1 glass of water in which you cook spaghetti. I didn't have the whine :)
Add dry (or fresh) basil and reduce the heat. Cook for 10 minutes, remove from heat.
Spaghetti is ready. Strain them and put into the sauce. Add the finely chopped parsley and mix.
Serve hot.
